Krystal is the operations manager at The Space and oversees support in our main group building in Mayfield. Krystal has been at The Space since January 2019 and holds degrees both in Psychology and Teaching. You will find her at our main group building most days and if she is not stuck in her office, she likes to play board games with whoever is around and spot cute dogs passing by the front doors. Whilst most of Krystal’s tasks are now administration based, she still likes to jump into support work when she can.

Carly, one of our senior support workers, has been with The Space since November 2020 and is our resident art and craft guru. Carly has supported participants to complete many different art projects at The Space, usually while chatting away about all things Anime and the latest game releases. She has been commissioned for her stunning miniature figurine paintings, which are sometimes also 3D printed at The Space. Carly’s breadth of knowledge is impressive – she cooks, she sews, she games, she assists with the Dungeons and Dragons group – there’s not a lot that Carly cannot do.

Shaun has been a support worker at The Space since it started, in June 2018. In his time he has covered a diverse range of supports including in-home, accommodation and community access support as well as group support in our main building. Shaun often brings a lot of fun to his shifts and is known for his great sense of humour and mischievousness. In his spare time Shaun plays cricket and soccer and games on his PC extensively (he is a weapon in first person shooters and FIFA). Shaun has also helped several participants buy and then build their own high-end gaming PC’s.

Mitch left a career in Aged Care to join The Space in May 2022 and bought a laidback, calm attitude with him. He is known for being a technology pro around The Space but he is also a keen gamer both on consoles and with tabletop games like Magic the Gathering. Most of Mitch’s support time involves assisting with technology issues in our group buildings and helping participants repair and build PCs. He also has a crippling addiction to watching and consuming any and all basketball content.

Sam is an inquisitive gamer, often found playing Playstation, Nintendo Switch or Wii. He joined The Space in March 2022 and continues to work part time while he completes a teaching degree. He loves watching and playing just about all sporting codes, getting outdoors by the beach or taking coast and bush walks.

Martin is a Musician, School Teacher and a keen surfer. He joined The Space in July 2020. He assists with video editing and animation, and loves taking clients for a bush walk or to the gym. In his spare time he is found riding his bicycle or playing online blitz chess.

Jed is an active support worker who completes many of his shifts out in the community and at the gym. He loves his sport, both watching it and playing it and is also a keen gamer – preferring to stick to some of the classics like Call of Duty. Jed joined The Space in July 2020 and has worked with a great range of participants in his time with us.

Dylan is a keen gamer and enjoys games like Minecraft, Runescape and Farming Simulator. Dylan has a background in Electronics and runs our electrical circuitry programs at The Space. He joined our team in July 2022 and has focused on support mainly in our group space and accommodation support. Dylan is a laid back, friendly guy who is responsible for many of the Lego creations you can find at our group hub as well.
